“Each and every one of you has unique gifts. Each and every one of you has a unique calling. A unique purpose. But if you hide your light under a bushel, how will the people who need you, find you? What are you afraid of? Who are you afraid of? Are you afraid of what people will say if you don’t look like they expect you to look, or act like they expect you to act? Are you afraid you’ll be criticized or ostracized or made fun of? Are you afraid they’ll laugh at you or laugh behind your back?

That can happen when other people are afraid of your power. Recognize that what they are doing and saying to you has nothing to do with you. It’s all about them: their own pain, their own woundedness, their own needs. Look past what they are saying or doing and recognize their actions as evidence of their own need to heal. Then in response, come from a place of love, regardless of where they are coming from.”
